Gulf Coast Power Inc started with a simple goal: bring dealership-level diesel diagnostics and repair to the businesses and marine operators of Southwest Florida without the dealership wait times. What began as a small mobile diesel repair operation out of Palmetto has grown into a full service shop serving commercial fleets, marina operators, and property managers from Anna Maria to Venice.
Our founders came up through diesel truck repair bays and marine engine rooms before deciding this region needed a diesel engine mechanic team that shows up, diagnoses correctly the first time, and stands behind the work. That approach hasn't changed as we've added Cummins certified technicians, expanded into industrial generator service, and built a fleet of mobile diesel repair trucks.

We know the shipping and shrimping fleets near the Palmetto waterfront, the charter boats out of Bradenton Beach and Longboat Key, and the commercial operations stretching down through Sarasota, Venice, and North Port.

What a great group of people to deal with!! I had an obscure problem with my RV generator fuel pump repeatedly going out. It was under warranty but they dug into it, not only to fix the problem but to see what may be causing it to fail. It was a frustrating problem but they stuck with it, fixed it and has worked very well since.

Both. We handle diesel marine engine repair and diesel boat generator repair as part of our marine diesel services, checking your engine and onboard generator together whenever possible. Many of our Longboat Key and Anna Maria customers have us check both systems during the same visit to save a second trip.
What does diesel engine maintenance actually include?
A typical service includes oil and fluid service, filter replacement, and a full diesel diagnostics check on belts, hoses, and electrical connections. For customers running fleets or heavy equipment, we build out fleet diesel maintenance schedules so trucks and generators get serviced before small issues turn into major repair jobs. Regular diesel engine maintenance is almost always cheaper than an emergency breakdown.
Do you offer mobile diesel repair, or do I need to bring my boat or RV to you?
